LONDON — The Australian former radio DJ who made a prank call to a nurse at the King Edward VII hospital during Kate Middleton's first pregnancy, who subsequently committed suicide three days later, has issued an open letter advising journalists to avoid following suit.
As the media interest around the Duchess of Cambridge's second baby intensifies, Mel Greig, who made the call with co-presenter Michael Christian in 2012 for their 2Day FM show, said journalists should steer clear of "trying to repeat our stupidity."
She published the letter in Australia's Daily Telegraph.
